Biography

Mark Bonchek, Ph.D. is the Chief Strategist of Soundbridge, a business media company that engages and educates business audiences. As an entrepreneur, thought leader, and trusted advisor, Mark is a pioneer in the field of communication and media. Over a decade ago, his research at Harvard and MIT predicted the rise of social media and the Internet revolution in politics. Through Soundbridge, he has helped companies such as IBM and Avaya listen more closely to their customers, and leaders as diverse as Michael Dell and Tony Hawk share their stories and lessons learned with the world.

Fifteen years ago, his research at Harvard and MIT predicted the rise of social media and the Internet revolution in politics. Over the last decade, he has helped companies such as IBM and Avaya listen more closely to their customers, and helped leaders as diverse as Michael Dell and Tony Hawk share their stories and lessons learned with the world.

Today, Mark is the Chief Strategist of Soundbridge, a business media company that engages and educates business audiences. Soundbridge companies include Fifty Lessons, the world's premier video library featured in Harvard Business School's online learning programs.

Mark has been the Managing Director of Tapestry Networks, COO of the TomorrowLab division at McKinsey & Company, and Director of Research for the Strategos Institute. Mark holds a Ph.D. in Political Economy and Government from Harvard University and an A.B. from Princeton University. He was a National Science Foundation Fellow and a Research Associate at the MIT Artificial Intelligence Lab. He is the co-author of the book "Analyzing Politics" and a contributor to "The Firm as Collaborative Community: The Reconstruction of Trust in the Knowledge Economy.
