Biography

Hy Pomerance joined QBE in October 2014 as the Chief Human Resources Officer with overall responsibility for Human Resources in North America. With more than 18 years of successfully aligning business strategy and HR programs in complex organizations, he has developed the strong, seasoned leadership over the course of his career that is ideal for a dynamic business like QBE.

Prior to QBE, Hy was Chief Talent Officer at New York Life Insurance Company responsible for Learning, Organization Effectiveness and Succession where he crafted and played a major role in implementation of the company’s overall Talent strategy. In 2010, he assumed the additional responsibility for Human Resources Planning, Talent Acquisition, Diversity and Inclusion, and HR Operations and Systems.
