Biography

Transformational leader with over two decades of executive HR and talent leadership in the military, public, and private sectors— most recently as Assistant Secretary, Human Resources and Administration for the Department of Veterans Affairs, the nation's largest integrated healthcare system. My whole career has been dedicated to helping organizations achieve their core mission by building people-first cultures that foster passion, engagement, and exceptional performance. In addition to the VA, over the years I have transformed HR organizations and led highly successful strategic change initiatives in such diverse organizations as the National Reconnaissance Office, the Defense Intelligence Agency, and a high growth global real estate development/management company. My 24 year of active service in the Marine Corps deeply instilled a servant leader mindset, and affirmed time and again that people are the heart and soul of every endeavor.
