Biography

David Beatty serves as McKinsey's Senior Advisory globally on both corporate governance and joint ventures. In this capacity he has served the world's largest company, Saudi Aramco, and appears regularly on Conference Board joint venture sessions. David is Conway Chair of the Clarkson Centre for Business Ethics and Board Effectiveness at the Rotman School of Management. He developed and continues to lead the curriculum for Canada's Director Education Program which has been offered 130 times across Canada to date with 4,500 graduates. Currently, he serves as a Director of Colliers International, Rubicon Minerals (where he serves as Chair), Canada Steamships Lines and City Financial (London, UK). Over his career he has served on over 38 Boards of Directors (in 5 countries) and been Chair of 8 publicly traded companies. He was the founding Managing Director of the Canadian Coalition for Good Governance (2003-2008).
